Hardenbergia violaceae ‘HB01.08’ Meema™ PP25,657
The first shrub-form Hardenbergia to be widely available in the US; the product of a decade-long breeding program. Meema maintains a nice sub-shrub to shub habit with only minimal pruning and has loads of vibrant purple flower clusters covering the plant in late winter to early spring. In fact, the bloom period is proving to be longer than that of the species; an added bonus in the landscape and for retail sales! Breeder: Todd Layt, Ozbreed Pty. Ltd.
- Sub-shrub growth habit (instead of vining)
- Easily maintained as a shrub in the landscape but can be trained to climb
- Flowers nearly twice as long as other Hardenbergia selections.
