The foliage texture and color of this Dianella more closely resemble that of a New Zealand flax yet this plant can take just about the hottest weather you can throw at it! Drought tolerant, heat tolerant, frost tolerant…tough… and with this great foliage color to boot! Blaze is a TC sport of the popular Dianella Tasred. Tasred has a similar color habit, but the burgundy color of Blaze is much more intense! This Dianella variety has shown to cope with subtropical conditions. That said, all Dianella are best suited to Mediterranean climates, Zones 9-11.
